Who can join
- Completed the P3 Beginner Pilot course
- Suitable health and physical fitness
Theory
- Advanced meteorology: fronts, sea and land breezes, thermal cycle, convergence
- Advanced aerodynamics: polar curve, stall, wing loading, certification standards
- Air law: GSB, SHGM and THSF regulations, right-of-way and thermalling rules
Practical training
- At least 4 hours of ground handling in variable wind
- At least 20 flights of at least 15 minutes each, at least 10 hours in total
- Gain at least 700 m in thermals twice or at least 1,000 m once
- Fly at least 1 hour twice or at least 2 hours once
- Advanced SIV: deep spiral, full stall, spin
At the end
"YP Orta Seviye Pilot" (Paragliding Intermediate Pilot) level card. You can join the experienced pilot and maintenance and repair courses.
